Harlow Ballet Association presents...

HBA - The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker
Thu 9th - Monday 13th April 2009
Main Auditorium

Harlow’s own amateur ballet company returns to the Main Auditorium at the Playhouse with one of the best known and best loved of all ballets - The Nutcracker. Follow young Clara, as she rescues her beloved Nutcracker Prince from the evil King Rat and is rewarded with a trip to the Kingdoms of Snow and Sweets. This traditional ballet performance, with full settings, over 100 glorious costumes and much of the original 19th Century choreography, marks the 50th birthday of the Harlow Ballet. The Nutcracker is danced to the famous and sumptuous music of Tchaikovsky, with all the well-known pieces from The Nutcracker Suite and many more glorious, but lesser known tunes. Come and celebrate half a century of ballet in Harlow with the latest production of the first full-length ballet put on by the Harlow Ballet Club, which we hope will be as popular today as it was then (or even more so!).
