Danceworx Academy presents
Around The World On The Dance Floor

Be entertained as more than 100 talented young dancers will be showcasing their skills and enthusiasm in disco freestyle, street, rock ‘n’ roll, Latin American and modern dance styles every night. This is the second time Danceworx has performed at the Playhouse and this exciting new show will feature routines to songs that are connected from around the world as well as popular rhythms of the dancefloor.

Jean-Dominique Bauby, aka Jean-Do (Amalric) is the high-flying editor of French Elle magazine and a man with the world at his feet when, suddenly, his whole world comes crashing down around him. Paralyzed following a stroke, Jean-Do’s only way of communicating with the outside world is by blinking with one eye. But instead of withdrawing into himself, Jean-Do, with the support of a number of helpers determines to chronicle his memoirs and so begins an inspiring journey into the strength of the human spirit. Based on Bauby’s book of the same name this is rivetingly brought to the screen by the Oscar-nominated Schnabel.
