The big winner at this year’s Oscar’s – scooping Best Picture
and Best Director(s) for brothers Joel and Ethan Coen – this
hard boiled adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s pitch black novel
has everyman Llewelyn Moss (Brolin) stumbling upon a drug deal
gone wrong and deciding to take the $2m left lying around for
himself. Bad idea, as Moss soon has demented psychopath Anton
Chigurh (Bardem, sporting one of cinema’s most obscure haircuts)
on his tail. Meanwhile, quiet Sheriff Bell (Jones) must contend
with Hell descending on his small Texan town.

“Virtuoso. A film of pin-sharp principles, cross-hair precision
and suffocating tension, this Coen’s stunner hits like a cattle
gun between the eyes” Total Film
