Ockham's Razor Presents The Mill
Direct from the Royal Opera House, the critically acclaimed aerial theatre company Ockham’s Razor make their debut at the Playhouse. Ockham’s Razor specialises in creating physical theatre on new pieces of aerial equipment and in The Mill have created “an engaging and ingenious piece of work” according to The Financial Times that has “incredible striking images” (Total Theatre). Experience the sweat, grind and grit of physical work in a wheel of wood and steel which is powered by the five performers and suspended in the air. In The Mill a seemingly small decision or action can gather momentum and impetus beyond your control, snowballing until you find yourself running like mad to power the treadmill whilst someone else is riding it like a ferris wheel. The show is directed by Toby Sedgwick, who won the Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreography for her work on the hugely successful National Theatre production War Horse.
